Equipment The camera type we favor is the Canon XH A1 High Definition camera. These cameras record fantastic quality high definition video in full anamorphic 16:9 widescreen. Because these cameras are so compact, they allow us to be very discreet at events such as weddings. We always carry equivalent backup equipment.
The editing stage of any project is very important. This is where we turn raw footage into a dynamic, lively, and above all, entertaining film. We use the multi-award winning combination of Canopus DV Storm 2, Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects on dedicated PC's. These products are used by professionals the world over. We use Adobe's Encore application to produce fully interactive DVD's, with motion menus and Dolby Digital sound.
Sound is very important at almost any event. At weddings, shows or during speeches and presentations, the sound must be crystal clear. We use two approaches for this. For events such as wedding ceremonies, we record the sound directly from the PA system at the venue. For speeches, we either pick up the sound from the PA system or we use small digital recorders attached to the venue's microphone. For couples making their vows, we provide the groom with a small clip-on lapel microphone.
